Look What I Drew Privacy Policy

Look What I Drew helps parents and caregivers preserve children’s artwork. We take a local-first, privacy-first approach to family content.
1. Stored on your device by default
Section titled “1. Stored on your device by default”Artwork you capture or import, child profiles, optional nicknames and birthdays, narration text, audio, face video, pointing paths, and edits are stored on your device by default. We do not operate a custom server for long-term storage of ordinary users’ artwork.
2. Camera, photos, microphone, and speech
Section titled “2. Camera, photos, microphone, and speech”The app requests camera, photo library, microphone, or speech-recognition access only when you use a related feature. Photo selection uses Apple’s system picker. Narration transcription requires supported on-device speech recognition and stays on the device; it fails instead of falling back to a developer server.
3. Optional private iCloud sync
Section titled “3. Optional private iCloud sync”Members can choose to enable iCloud sync. When enabled, artwork, child profiles, and related narration media are stored through Apple CloudKit in your private iCloud database so your own iPhone and iPad can stay in sync.
Sync uses your system iCloud account and does not create a DoodleGallery account. We do not operate the ordinary artwork sync server or use this content for advertising, profiling, or AI training.
4. Purchases
Section titled “4. Purchases”Subscriptions, lifetime purchases, restore, and refunds are handled by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. The app reads product information and entitlement status supplied by Apple, but does not receive or store payment card details.
5. Export and sharing
Section titled “5. Export and sharing”Images and narration videos are generated on the device. Content is handed to another app only after you open the system share sheet and choose a destination. That app’s own terms and privacy policy then apply.
6. Analytics, ads, and tracking
Section titled “6. Analytics, ads, and tracking”The current version has no third-party advertising or analytics SDK, performs no cross-app tracking, and does not sell artwork or family content. Membership event logging in Release builds is not sent to a developer analytics service.
7. Support email and retention
Section titled “7. Support email and retention”When you contact support, we receive your email address and anything you choose to provide. We use it only to respond, diagnose issues, protect security, and meet legal obligations. Please do not send children’s real artwork, voices, face video, or unnecessary identifying information.
8. Children and caregiver responsibility
Section titled “8. Children and caregiver responsibility”The app is intended for parents or caregivers managing family artwork. Children are not asked to create an account. The caregiver decides whether to record, sync, export, or share a child’s content and is responsible for the necessary rights and consent.
9. Your choices
Section titled “9. Your choices”- Revoke camera, photo, microphone, or speech permissions in system settings.
- Turn off iCloud sync in the app. This does not automatically erase local or existing private iCloud content.
- Delete local artwork and child profiles, with deletion following the documented sync behavior.
- Contact us with a privacy question.
10. Policy changes
Section titled “10. Policy changes”We may update this policy and its date when the product or applicable rules change. New developer servers, third-party analytics, AI recognition, accounts, or public-sharing services will require an updated explanation before they are enabled.
